We have decided to publish our bi-weekly update for Strips slightly earlier this week, as many supporters and community members are keen to learn more about our progress. It’s heartening to see the number of people closely following our progress and want to learn more. We also appreciate the long-term hodlers and supporters who have been with us since the beginning and who are joining us as new zealots in our mission to define DeFi 2.0.

Progress Update

The team are making great progress towards completing the features and internal testing. Due to the sheer complexity and number of code lines in our smart contracts, we employ the highest standard of safety and security in our code.

As such, we have already completed one technical audit with Certik with no critical bugs found. We are currently undergoing a second audit with Peckshield. While audits can find bugs from static analysis. However, they fall short when testing for economic attacks such as flash loan and oracle manipulation — most projects launch with just one audit or sometimes with no audits at all. However, at Strips we believe that security is the most important thing to get right when building the protocol. We have seen too many horror stories from other protocols getting hacked from not using best practices or just deploying in production without testing. We develop using a test-driven development process (TDD) and have a 122 step integration testing process that checks all edge cases and vulnerabilities every time we push new code. To come up with 122 step integrations, we have simulated more than 7,000,000 transactions to traverse all possible situations and classify them into 122 steps.

We are continually adding new test cases to our TDD process. The benefits of using this approach will compound over time as it will make it exponentially easier and quicker to verify and test new code in the future.
